Sacred is a skater and owned and operated roller derby league that focuses on creating a team of strong, diverse, and goal driven women.
Our Training Program
Can’t stand up on skates? Have some skating skills but not derby skills? Sacred’s training program is built to train all levels of skaters. Whether you would like to train to be a competitive player or a recreational skater, Sacred’s training program can help you get there. Our program is comprised of general athletic training and on skates derby training that will teach you the fundamentals of skating, safety, and roller derby strategy and rules. Our training program lasts for 10-12 weeks and is held Wednesdays from 8-10p and Saturdays from 10a-1p. Our training program costs $60 per month.
What to Expect at Tryouts
You should wear athletic/comfortable/non- restrictive clothing and bring a water bottle and any derby gear you own. Rental gear will be available for try outs and the first few weeks of the program. At try outs our trainers will be looking for for drive, a willingness to try new things, and most importantly a good attitude. We want you to try your hardest but we know people start at different levels! Our only requirements are: you must identify as a woman, be 18 years or old (please bring an ID), and you will need to sign a liability waiver.
